STATEMENT
Most of my work is an exploration into the possible. A slanted view with a sense of humor. Utilizing materials and methods in innovative ways to tell a story.
This collection is made of discarded e-waste, computer circuit boards, construction materials, plumbing parts and found objects. Many of my sculptures have an internal lighting system powered by household wall outlets. Others run on rechargable batteries. Frames are made from hickory axe handles. The methods and materials used here are unique to me, invented and assembled in the last year at my home studio, located in Hopewell, NJ.
BIOGRAPHY
Bodhi expressed himself by drawing before he could read or write. Briefly attended the Maryland Institue of Art in the mid 70’s, preferring to start a wall mural business. This lead to designing discos, themed bars and boutiques. In the early 80’s, Bodhi was the first to sandblast wooden signage, which lead to a career that included gold-leafing the entrance of the Smithsonian and building monuments for the military.
