STATEMENT
My work is rooted in the movements of Twentieth Century art and the Italian Renaissance. Presently, I believe it might be an attempt to bring order to the chaos of the current state of the world.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Union City, NJ in 1942, Guy Ciarcia attained an MFA from Pratt Institute, an MA in ED. from NYU, and studied drawing at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence Italy. He is a charter member of The Smokehouse Associates, a wall painting group in New York City that is represented in many publications. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the tri-state area since 1965. His interests include ceramics, music, playwrighting, sculpture, and jewelry making.
