STATEMENT

I explore diverse methods of transferring images onto a plate. Whether working with linocut, wood engraving, rubber stamps, or monoprints, I intentionally match my technical approach to the subject matter. My work shifts between high-contrast studies defined by deep shadows and stark whites, and clean, graphic interpretations. At times, I use varied linework to navigate value and space; at others, I manipulate the medium to capture the precise texture and feel of my subject. Printmaking offers a beautiful, endless spectrum of visual translation, and I am driven by the unique possibilities each method provides.
